Me: Kailangan ko ba ng PE?
Lalaki sa Office of Admission: Maganda kung kukuha ka ngayong first sem ng first year.
Nag-present naman siya ng listahan ng 'available' PE 2 subjects. Merong diving, swimming, judo, etc.. pero kinuha ko yung mukhang madali: Philippine Games.
Meron nga lang akong pagkakamali: hindi ko na-check yung timeslot. Napunta yung PE ko sa gitna ng dalawang Chem 16 subjects (lecture then lab). Problem is lagi akong late sa Chemistry lab (mahirap mag-jeep from CHK to Institute of Chemistry).
In-Depth:
First Impression
Okay lang. Eto yung isa sa mga subjects na dalawa ang prof (sorry hindi nakalimutan ko yung name ng assistant ni sir ralph). At first, maglalaro kayo ng simple games like tumbang preso but later on, kayo na ang gagawa ng filipino game na lalaruin ng buong klase! Oh, and igu-grupo kayo at the start of the course.
Time Management
Minsan lang mag-overtime, kapag intense fun ang game of today. Nagsisimula yung class I think 10 minutes or 15 minutes.
Student Attendance
Nagche-check dito ng attendance. Pero hindi naman ganun ka-strict and madalas ang mami-miss mo lang ay yung today's game.
Recitation
Walang recitation dito (okay, pero kailangan mo mag-participate sa laro). Worth noting din na kailangan mong matuto mag-trumpo at yoyo dahil graded recitation yan!
Quizzes and Exams
Yung finals is to "gumawa ng unique filipino game". Kayo ang magho-host nito and lalaruin ito ng ibang grupo. Yung other groups ang magre-rate ng game niyo kaya siguraduhin niyong fun, easy to understand at hindi magulo ang game niyo!
Fun Factor
Dahil naka-center sa Filipino games ang subject na ito, expect mo na fun ito. Though, merong ilang games na annoying. ;)
Conclusion
Ok lang. Dahil Filipino ka, maganda na meron kang alam and first hand experience sa Philippine games and toys. Overall, it's been a fun subject and kung kailangan mo ng PE na magpapalago ng iyong pagiging makabayan, try this.
