First ImpressionMaganda naman ang first day sa class. Very kind and approachable si ma'am and magaling mag-explain.
Time ManagementOn-time mag-start and minsan lang mag-late dismiss.
This is required.
Kailangan mong i-memorize yung sound ng instrument, yung native name, and yung ethnic group nun. After that, merong written exam na minsan multiple choice, matching type, or essay.
Sa ethnic groups lang yung listening exam. Pagdating niyo sa Spanish and American music, wala nang listening exam.
Fun FactorMerong voluntary class concert. Nung sa amin, merong Christmas concert just before mag holiday break and final concert at the end of the course.
Pros:* excellent and interesting topics in Philippine music from indigenous to modern Filipino rock
* extremely nice and approachable professor
* cool classroom (the minihall)
* voluntary class concert (show off your musical skills for extra credits!)
* Short and arguably easy Long Exams
Cons:* listening exams (not a problem if you can memorize names and their corresponding sounds)
* required concert reviews (you need to travel high and low, searching far and wide for concerts to review)
